it takes two to tango

so. its been a miserable couple of days.

i thought i had just caught the bug that was going around the group home / community.
anyways, yesterday. after spending the day before feeling like crap on a stick - i woke up in the most unbelievable pain in both of my ears.

by 6 that evening i was in the hospital because, i was getting no relief.
doctor said i had a double ear infection. a nasty one. gave me drops. said this would help.

did they?
no.

today i was in pain x 100. seriously. i spent my child hood with ear infections and late teen / adult hood with them, and this was nothing like i had experienced. the pain, is right up there to when i had a third degree burn. no joke.

Thomas took me up to the hospital.. and... like it felt, my ears were wayyyyyyyyyy worse.

so lucky me. i have lots of beautiful drugs to take. one being an extra, extra, extra strength narcotic. sweet.

i have missed 3 shifts of work because of this nonsense. im supposed to work a nightshift tomorrow.. but... im not getting my hopes up.


other then that, i work, work work.
and stuff should SOON be changing. and im excited for everything to fall into place

big changes are about to happen.

i'm going to be cleaning all morning.
yay .....

working 3-11.


thank goodness.

ah yes.

ronee and i went to a birthday party at Cornerstone [her work placement which is a branch off of L'arche, the same as Applewicks].
It was so nice to see everyone and get lots of hugs from all the clients.

It made me sad though. Mostly because my hormones are running sky high.

Cyndi said that they miss me a lot, and she thinks I'll get a call from Devon hopefully in the near future.

I have my fingers crossed. A 9-5 job,weekends and holidays off, and paid vacation?
sign me up.

worked called me. i'am needed to do an 11pm Wednesday- 9am Thursday shift. wahoo.
i have to be over at the group home at 7am to shadow what its like on weekday morning because all of my shifts have been on the weekend thus far.

oh well. mo money as p.diddy said.


im getting a sore throat. i'm not impressed.

im also not impressed that law and order svu is not on.
boo.

so work placement is officially over.
they had a party for me, and gave me some gifts.
it was super sweet of them.

so i worked all weekend.
7am-3pm Saturday
11pm Saturday - 9am Sunday
1:30pm-9:30pm Sunday.


for now i have 4 days off, unless i get called in.
and i do it all again this weekend.
and on apple blossom too.

my poor uncle nay-nay.

burnt his foot in deep fryer.
3 degree burn.


i have tears in my eyes just thinking about the pain/ healing process.

i know third degree burns all too well.



tomorrow is my last day of workplacement.
applewicks took my name and all my info. they are hoping to have a spot open for me in the near future. this excites me.

i work saturday with CLAS
7am-3pm
then i do a night shift from 11pm-9am.

oie vey.

i love CLAS.

I have picked up a bunch of shifts.. even tho june is gonna be a slow month.. stuff will hopefully pop up.

also, there is a staff meeting on wednesday, and lisa and dana are going to push for me to be hired on for a temp. part time position. i would then have set hours, and then some.

and of course, quickly moving up to 15.50. [ which i will make as a casual, but i wont have wait ... mumbo jumbo if i say so myself.]

things are going well.
applewicks placement coming to an end on friday. that makes me sad
its a great place.


sleep is overcoming me.
i give in.

5 days left of workplacement at Applewicks.
i'll be sad to leave there. the clients are so much fun.
hopefully if they hire, i'll be able to put my name in.

thomas had his interview with pharmacy today. he stopped in at applewicks close to three and said he felt he did really well.

i start my first shadow shift with CLAS on Sunday 9-5.
then monday 2pm-10pm
then finally my 3rd shadow shift, i get paid for, i work 9-5.

i'm nervous, but i visited the group home tuesday, and everyone seemed really nice.
so far so good.


i wish this cold would go away.

meeting with CLAS at 6 tonight.

so excited to get my hours situated.
i also have a second group home i can be working at ... which means, more hours and money!
